Prednisone Problems

I can't take this drug anymore. It makes me lightheaded, fatigued, and gives me anxiety. I am tapering down 5 mg/week, but the side effects have yet to disappear. I've been on prednisone for 2 months now, started at 60 mg, now at 25mg. Also, i cannot stop eating and my face is blowing up. I don't even need prednisone anymore because i started remicade last week, which worked instantly. When will these side effects disappear? This drug is making me crazy.

My GI told me to taper down 5 mg/week, which scares me because that means I'll fully be off them July 4th. Thats a long way away. I Lifeguard at the beach in the summer and I'm afraid i Wont be able to work due to my fatigue/ lightheadedness. Do you think i should go down 10 mg/week or is that too fast?

Before Remicade, I was strictly on 40 Mg of Prednisone for 3 weeks. I physically never got better. I was still going the bathroom 10 Xs a day, and no formation in my stools. Literally the day after i got my first remicade infusion, i was put into remission. Going to the bathroom 1-2 Xs a day and having solid stools. It felt awesome. But the prednisone, not awesome.
