I hear ya... but I think doctors give enough "hope" to patients about
biologics.
People may find this very hard to believe, but it is actually
one of the three best selling drugs in the world. More people are taking it than you think, my brother.
Two bad things about
remicade (I was on it for nearly a year):
1) It's one of the few drugs on the market that has a terrible side effect profile and can induce another autoimmune disease, complicating matters for those with an existing disease such as UC.
2) People do produce antibodies and it tends to wear off overtime, so it is not a permanent solution by any means.
