Cold sore

I've never had one before but I got one a few weeks ago and now I think I'm getting another one. The first was in the crook of my mouth- where the lips meet and it was pretty painful. This one is just starting and feels like a pimple is forming on the edge if my bottom lip. That's prob a cold sore, right? I'm dealing wih c diff and/or a flare and have been on imuran for years now- I think it's prob a cold sore but more sure I it's related to my flare/symptoms.

Thoughts? Is this the first stage of a cold sore? I just started seeing this great guy and have a date tomorrow. Idk if it's worth going out and getting Abreva or something to nip it in the butt before it gets worse. Would it hurt it if it were just a pimple? I've never had one this close I my lip before- practically on my lip and face. Also, I prob don't wanna kiss him in case I spread it to hjm, right? :(

I agree with Kazbern. It's probably HSV 1 and there's really nothing you can do about it but let it heal. Different things may cause outbreaks such as stress, weakened immune system, etc. An ointment such as Abreva will help sooth the pain and speed up the healing.

Don't kiss him until it has healed.
