hey 32 -

ya, vit d deficiency is common for many with uc - and if you avoid the sun due to using retin a, that could compound the problem -

I would talk to your pcp and try and get it checked - never want to over look anything -

I don't even think we all have the same disease, just the same syndrome of symptoms. In order to make progress for a cure, they need to try to tease out the different diseases. This is a mind-numbingly long process, unfortunately, particularly when all of us a clamoring for a really successful treatment. Science can only do so many things at once, I guess.
