Anyone have a healthplan chosen through opm.gov (us federal employees)?

Are there any us federal employees here with uc, if so which health plan gives you the lowest out of pocket costs? My wife recently got such a job (as a wildlife biologist) and I'm told we can pick any of the non-postal health plans at opm.gov. It's overwhelming with so many plans to choose from... It's always fun (end sarcasm) to comb through the deductibles, maximums, caps, and other junk for a couple plans never mind a dozen or more. And to call them and ask, so how do you handle inject-able medications (e.g., remicade).

For our family I've chosen GEHA family standard plan. It has reasonable coverage for prescription meds and the deductibles aren't bad. You should also look into the flexible spending plan option for medical expenses. A lot of my fed peers like high deductible plans also, but this assumes you won't need to spend a lot on medical care every year, which I would think eliminates that option for everyone with a chronic illness.

Don't join the Aetna federal plan. I was paying 10% out of pocket for Remicade. Ugh!! Will be switching to BCBS during open Season.
