I too had a similar issue and I found an awesome toothpaste called EarthPaste. It comes in many flavors and you should choose one to your liking. I use this one.
One thing you should know is that brushing is not necessary actually. Vitamin K2, COD Liver Oil and oil pulling with coconut chips fixed most (but not all) of my dental problems. The remaining issues are due to fructose and sugar consumption (that's a psychological craving for me). I found brushing to be counter-intuitive, but that's just for my situation.
Best.
Thanks Guardian7,
Did it 'fixed' the sensitivity? I find many similar toothpastes. Some Ayurvedic toothpastes are also equally good, but I would like to fix the issue.
I agree with sugar part and I have reduced as much as I can and added Xylitol instead in some instances, but psychologically, I can not do it without brushing my teeth twice a day.

Care to link to the flouride article? I searched Lancet's website and didn't find anything posted directly to their site, but several on PubMed.
This one.

i use different fluoride free toothpastes so i can't recommend just one brand. right now i'm using kiss my face and i love it. i stopped using fluoride in 2009 and my dentist went nuts. i haven't had to get any fillings though...
i usually brush once/twice a day and floss, too, but it really depends what i'm eating. honestly, i started brushing with turmeric powder last week and it's like i have new teeth. they are SUPER WHITE and very smooth like pearls. feels like i went to the dentist when all i used was turmeric mixed with water.
I stopped using mouthwash and instead started using Chlorine Dioxide water. It cleans as best as it can. I have not tried turmeric and I can not floss as my gums are really sensitive too. Any flossing leads to bleeding. Keeping them white is not an issue, they are white as it is (because of loss of enamel), but the sensitivity REALLY irritates me. As simple as air bothers me a LOT.
