Since I could not find my post from when I posted on this topic back in September of last year I'm posting again. I'm having on and off issues with the anal fissure I was diagnosed with back in September. I was using the Rectiv cream on it, had a long period of feeling ok, well, over the past week or I'm experiencing the discomfort again, am using a stool softener daily, however, it is not making things soft enough apparently. Had a followup at the gastro doctor a couple of weeks ago, since it wasn't bothering me much at the time, he didn't want to upset the apple cart so to speak. Now it is really throbbing and stinging on and off, Found my Rectiv, will have to use it sparingly, the refill I had was way too much for me to afford, I've had to apply Triple Paste medicated ointment to that area as toilet paper really irritates it so much it is sore to the touch. Been soaking in very warm baths also. Can anyone recommend a over the counter product for the tenderness. I've gone to using baby wipes after each bathroom trip, a little more gentle.

Here's your old thread.....I can only stress to ask for rectal meds such as Canasa or anucort hc suppositories if they're available.

How you find things is beyond me. I looked back I don't know how many pages.

I just clicked on your name and it's listed. You don't post extremely often, so it's still there
