To me it seems we are a lot like bad computers. As I understand it, the body is essentially a myriad of electrical signals throughout. With UC, we, or at least I, and some of us, get weird offshoots as a result of this condition. Restless foot, weird muscle contractions, odd sore tight nerves, roving joint pain, etc, are some of the things Ive experienced. And they vary witht he issues in my colon, both in therms of where the inflammation is, and how severe. I feel like the colon is loaded with sensors, for lack of a better term, that have a lot to do with the rest of the body's workings, either by nerves, electric signals, chemicals like serotonin or others, etc. When the colon, for whatever reason, is wrecked, other signals get crossed, cancelled, or magnified. I wonder if there were any odd ways of doing electro shock, or electro anything therapy. I have heard of anecdotal reports of blind people getting struck by lightening, and then suddenly regaining vision.. Anyway. Not much to see here, just thinking out loud.
