Thanks everyone. Life is feeling very hopeful right now. I'll reply to a couple of you here...
NSSG: I did stand my ground with the business brokers! They are fairly shady individuals, lol. They kept telling me that the buyer was in a hurry to close. I kept telling them I was doing my best, but that I wasn't going to hurry. Now after closing I've come to find out that the brokers made that up, and that the buyer was in no hurry. He felt like they were shady as heck, too. Ohwell, it seems to have all worked out. I'm going to set up a lunch with my broker one day later this year and ask him how the hell he gets repeat business when he blatantly lies to people.
Soy: The new wife's working out pretty good. No need to return her yet! ;-) Today she made us a bunch of zucchini bread, homemade pizza, potatoes/butternut squash baked in olive oil, and this awesome blueberry cobbler that we put vanilla ice cream over. That was after she made me breakfast of pancakes, sausage and bacon. Plus, she's kinda the primary bread winner now for the moment... lol
Anyways, I feel very free right now. My health should only improve as I go on and am not tied to the situations I have been for the past few years or more. I'm still busy as heck though; I'm going to do everything I can to help our buyer be successful as we transition, plus I'm catching up on a loooong list of things I've felt needed done at home and personally but didn't have the time.
Life is good.
