Your lab results are automatically sent to your GI, and most likely in electronic form. If he/she finds anything out of the ordinary within that blood test then you will get a call about it very promptly. I've gotten calls before when something was slightly under or over in a key category they watch for. I'd call your GI's office if you have questions about the results as they can described it way better than we can.
A few things I do know:
1.) Note, if she's on prednisone then a lot of the numbers are going to be wacky, mine were before I got off of pred entirely. Even low levels of pred make the numbers haywire.
2.) Some of the blood test categories require fasting for accurate numbers. Your GI isn't looking at those numbers, so no fasting is needed or asked for.
This test does not identify what is high and what is low, like the other one did. These are just number, I cannot make anything of it. Each report can have different high and low values depending on a number of variables that are beyond my understanding.
