Prescript-assist Probiotics verses VSL#3

I have been researching a it on these two probiotics and each state they are potentially helpful for colitis, but both are from different types of bacteria. Anyone have a preference for one of these and why?

VSL#3 is one of only two probiotic supplements that have been shown clinically to be effective in UC. Thats not to say people dont benefit from others, but thats the current state of the literature.

Tried them both but they werent worth the money. I had no improvement on either one. For some reason, probiotic supplements dont effect my gi symptoms.

1) Your insurance may cover the prescription only vsl#3 DS version, so look into that!

2) Depending on your financial situation, you may qualify for the patient assistance program, so also look into that

I didn't see good results from prescript assist (soil based organisms). I am not sure if it did anything.

I think dirt from an organic garden would be better for me personally. I'm not endorsing eating dirt, but we did co-evolve with soil bacteria.

I take both. I noticed a big enough difference where I feel they both help me. I recently added a third.
