I'm not a scammer and I don't think the original poster a couple years ago was either. She isn't on the forum since then, either healed or didn't get many supporters.
I try supplements very reluctantly because of 90% bad results, of course that is true of Rx meds for me also.
Clay did not heal me but it is a permanent fixture in my UC "aid" kit along with Immodium, probiotics, Bentyl, veggie juice, etc.
There are medical studies, some quite recent, attesting to the antibacterial qualities of
some clays. Clay is being looked at as an alternative to antibiotics when people have used up their useful treatments.
That was what my recent post referred to, the recent medical studies about
a new Oregon clay (called blue clay) which is not on the market as far as I know. What I know for myself is that Pascalite and Terramin have been helpful. Please note though that the FDA made Pascalite remove "internal" use from their marketing and use it with this knowledge.
I have never had a negative reaction to either type used internally but I don't drink it often, a glass of water with a teaspoon of clay maybe a couple times a year. When flaring I used it more often but
never several glasses a day.edited to add: Tenesmus (feeling of incomplete BM) is better treated with a melamine enema. I use clay water for gas, bloating and when I've eaten something that triggers my IBS. I feel (with no medical support) it re-balances my gut flora and maybe hurts the bad bacteria.
