UCLA seems like research sites. You may or may not be able to get into one of their studies. Until they have a proven therapy, they can't just give it to whatever patients show up.

Recent multistem trials were disappointing.

I am not sure any stem cell therapies (where they don't have to kill your immune system first) are available.

You can get the dangerous kind in Mexico or Russia

Everything I have seen on stem cell injections have been utterly disappointing: Multistem, as mentioned, and Prochymal. I think Osiris has pretty much folded on Prochymal.

There was a poster about two years ago who went to somewhere in Latin America and got stem cell treatment done. Or actually, it was like a friends son or some such. It was called....oh I can't remember. He was a doctor from Western Europe who built a practice in Latin America for the purpose of doing the stem cell transplants that weren't approved in Europe.

about the only place to get the stem cell transplant in the US is with Richard Burt at the Feinberg School of Medicine at Northwestern, but you'd have to be REALLY bad off to qualify.
