Alex: sounds like the rowasa works very well for you - do you know where your inflammation is? - i think my son has left-sided UC - 35cm up from the bottom (is how the doctor described it) - maybe his is too far up for the rowasa to work for him?? and thanks for the tip on the starches - will try increasing starch intake again

My last colonoscopy was about
a year ago but the notes then were mild to moderate colitis from the rectum to 20 cm. Yes it could be that his is farther up where rowasa isn't as effective. Not sure if you're doing this already but I recommend when squeezing the enema to do it forcefully (as opposed to gently/gradually) so that it shoots up farther, and as he lies on his side to lean even more into the bed so that gravity pulls the liquid down farther.
