EDIT: Better video link:
www.anl.gov/videos/home-where-microbes-areI made a comment the other day about
perhaps doing the Vietnamese antibiotic thing OM mentioned where you take one of every known antibiotic - sort of a bacterial nuclear bomb type approach. Anyway I mentioned that I don't think we realize how much bacteria we pick up even just breathing and sitting here while reading this.... probably more than any probiotic on the market.
I came across this article tonight. I never thought about
it from a dysbiosis type perspective though. If our bacteria are all messed up, perhaps our environment is as well... Or well, there's lot's of things one can think of.
One thing that stands out to me is IBD runs and clusters in families..... it's not a far reach to say that the "environment" could have changed and some circumstance i.e. antibiotics, MAP or whatever set's up the stage.
This is a very interesting study:

Scientists have detailed the microbes that live in houses and apartments. The results shed light on the complicated interaction between humans and the microbes that live on and around us. Mounting evidence suggests that these microscopic, teeming communities play a role in human health and disease treatment and transmission."
