yes, but the "medicine mumbo jumbo" was not written for you. we should have respect for that literature even if we find it hard or impossible to read. that stuff is how science advances, and how anyone even knew how to consult on the video.
Also, some articles, did have pictures, some of which the illustrators of this video had obviously looked at before.
The cost to prepare and publish an article is substantial, but nowhere near the cost of a video production with good production values like this one. Having scientists communicate with each other in efficient ways, without trying to explain everything to lay people, is good use of research money.
Making articles and videos like this might be good use of public health and education money - but that is a different group, different budget. Also some production companies make science videos as a for profit business. Just like some book publishers.
All in all, we have a pretty impressive system of medical and education literature.
