How do I take care of it? I feel like it needs coddling. I almost want to name my new colony.

My guess is don't take any antibiotics, probiotics, artificial sweeteners,NSAIDS,or anything else that
can mess with gut bugs.
If your on meds, then not sure what to do about
them.
Go on the same diet as the donor, which might be overlooked and could be very important,or not.

Post FMT should be:
- avoid 5 ASAs for a few weeks due to anti microbial effect
- high fibre diet (ie. Brown rice, wholemeal bread/pasta, lots of high fibre veggies)
- no antibiotics
That's pretty much all I remember doing, post FMTs as per doctor instructions.

food, water, sunlight - actually, not sure about
the sun, but the combo sure makes my tomatoes happy
ya, I agree with OM, although I don't really have a clue - but I would think that feeding it like the previous owner would be beneficial -
