I was on Humira for a while; it worked for about 3 weeks (for the loading doses basically) and then wore off. It did work quite quickly though, within less than a week, I was feeling much better.
I took the injections out of the fridge about 30-60 mins before injecting. In the starter pack I got, there was a mini ice pack that I would put in the freezer for this time also and then put it on where I was going to inject for about 30 seconds. I don't know if it makes much of a difference, but you could try it!
I found my thigh to be much easier to do - I always did it near the top of my thigh, at the part with the most flesh. I tried on my stomach when doing loading doses, and it was much sorer! The nurse said that it's because I'm very skinny, so there isn't much to cushion it - might be something to consider also.
The thigh hurt slightly for me, but nothing extreme at all - more like a tingling for a couple of mins, then sometimes it felt like a small bruise for a couple of days after.
Good luck, I hope it works for you!
