Remicade response rate is 44-45%
aboutcolitis.com/remicade-ulcerative-colitis-treatment/link didn't seem to work but here is the paragraph:
Remicade Ulcerative Colitis Treatment?
Remicade, or Inflixmab to be more precise, binds to the TNF, which is regarded as more similar to the Th1 cytokines. Tests by Paul Rutgeerts and William Sandborn in 2005 have overturned earlier opinion regarding limited efficacy of the drug for UC, by showing in two clinical trials that Remicade does indeed have a higher success rate than placebo medication. Indeed, with remicade ulcerative colitis patients showed a response rate of 44-45% when treated for a year, as opposed to 21% for placebo medication.
I still can't believe the high success rates for placebos. I wonder if they work by decreasing stress levels?
