Sorry to briefly derail the thread, but what is your treatment looking like these days, Marauder? How have you been doing?
No worries! Im currently in a clinical trial for an anti-MAdCAM antibody. MAdCAM is the other interaction protein for the one that is blocked by Entyvio so it is basically Entyvio's sister drug.
I got on the full does (225 mg) on Sept 15th (so about
8 ish weeks ago). Was hovering between 11-13 BMs/day and am now at 7/8 which is basically where a full dose pred regime got me to back in June. Not sure if this is due to the drug or because I suddenly switched to eating nothing but eggs and chicken for the last 2 weeks though. Gonna give it another 2 months of "wait and see".
@xy123 - Itll be waay to early for a study like this I think. For now, it is just a logical hypothesis/deduction and its true you never know with medicine, but it is very much like imuran. You can go a few days without it and it wont affect you at all (besides maybe a placebo affect) due to its long half life and long mechanism of action.
