OT - headache...?

Hey all :) long time no see. I hope everyone is well.

Anyways. (I know we have a migraine forum but idk if that's what's happening. So I figure it doesn't hurt to see what you guys think. Might post this there too.) So four or five days ago, I started getting this shooting pain in my right temple. It'd happen about the same time every night, last a few minutes and go away. I've gotten it before, just not so consistently. Well, night before last my bf gets this bag of dumplings. He can't get it open, says if I can do it I can have one. Well, I'm very food motivated so I hulk out on this bag. It opens, but I feel a weird pop where I've been having these pains, and the right side of my face and neck went numb (novocaine-type numb). I felt like puking, but it could've been nerves. Feeling comes back, dull ache stays in my head.

Ache stays all night, all day pretty much. If I sleep on my left side or back I feel okay. Numbness comes and goes randomly. Ache went further across my forehead and down towards my cheekbone/under my eye. This morning it almost felt like a warm liquid being poured down my face and my cheek numb for a short time.

I should also add that I felt my neck was related to the sharp pains at first. Last night also had some fizzy/burny pain by my shoulder.

I'll probably see a doctor today, just fyi. I need to write this all down. What do you guys think? Had anything like it? My mom kind of has and doesn't seem too concerned. Yesterday I also had sharp pains down by my left elbow. IDK. Oh, and a bath helped. Thanks guys!

PS My UC is a-okay. Had some nasty hemmies but I made it :)

Just got back. They didn't even give me a doctor, just a PA. She thinks it's a nerve and referred me to neurology. So basically I didn't have a stroke. Wow thanks lol

That's what my mom and urgent care thinks it is. But it's still really freaky and I hope my appointment is soon so I can figure out what's going on.. The popping sensation was really strange.

ITA with the nerve theory. Many migraines are caused by nerve impingement in the neck. Physical therapy might be all that is needed, but I bet you get sent for imaging (MRI).

btw, update, if anyone is interested. couldn't take it anymore. made an appointment with GP. on the way, my GI's office called and said i need to redo my blood work in four weeks. usually this happens when i'm sick. so i thought i might have an infection?

the doctor actually listened to the artery in my head, looked at blood vessels etc in my eye. he said i wasn't dying and thinks i tore some muscle fibers but was still confused about the numbness. gave me a torodal shot. it's helping, mostly. i have a followup in december. also, i mentioned my bloodwork and my wbc was fine, and my temp was fine.

my butt hurts from that shot tho! wowza

nope, never had it. it hurts to press above my eyebrow now. less numbness today though. and at least the shot is giving me a little reprieve. hopefully i don't feel too crappy for my birthday tomorrow!
