Uc causes fatigue as well Gary; don't just assume it's the medication. Nausea is a first few weeks on the drug thing from what I've read. I never experienced it.

Ipoop, How much do you pay for 6mp? I was wondering if you could share that with me?

Otherwise I came down with a nasty head cold and stomach bug which is giving me really Bad D. I hope it goes away soon but got hit with it early thanksgiving morning. Within 2 days I was having D and feel really lousy. No fever though. I have to imagine that I will have to wait before taking any new drugs until this passes. It is Sunday and I am still in and out of the bathroom. My head cold seems to be getting better but have a really bad headache with all this. My coworker was out for 4 days with the same thing just before I got it. Said he had a head cold and the runs. This is really lame!

I was reading through my test results which I can now get from a website that my doctors office provides. I noticed that at the end of the test results it is stated that the dx is "acute colitis" and that "the findings are compatable with ulcerative colitis, provided infection is ruled out. Special strains for cmv pending." I then looked down and the tests for cmv came up negative. It is patchy from rectum to 30cm and all being mild active or chronic colitis. There were 4 biopsies taken and all were negative for Dysplaysia or granuloma.

I am feeling a little better from being sick for the last 4 days and plan on calling my doctor to let him know my decision will be to continue Rowasa and then adding the 6mp. I still have some D though but it is slowly getting better. Not sure but think I may need to wait and recover from being sick before starting anything new.

I was wondering how many of you had the TPMT enzyme testing done prior to taking 6mp? I know it is a 1 in 300 chance that one may not have enough of the TPMT enzyme but I was reading that if the test is available one should have it checked prior to taking 6mp.
