When in a flare and on pred, I up my exercise regime. I start running every other day. This keeps me fit, stronger and keeps my joints moving so as to reduce the risk of osteoporosis whilst on the pred and keeping my weight stable. huh ?I think you've taken this out of context. I did say when in a flare AND on pred. I up the exercise because of the side effects of pred I.e. Water retention, weight gain, increased appetite, slight pain in joints. The exercise will help alleviate these symptoms and I also find it tires me out more so I sleep better which is something that is also not easy to do whilst on pred.
I still eat healthy and exercise in remission but just notch the exercise part up whilst on pred.
