I suspect, there is something else at play here.
Like I said in my post, there is a sulfite preservative in all mesalamine enemas, EXCEPT the name brand sulfite-free Rowasa, which is different from regular name brand Rowasa, which has sulfite. Canasa (a suppository) does not have the sulfite preservative either.
However, based on more info the OP gave about
Colazol and Apriso and headaches, maybe the sulfite isn't the real problem.
