Rowasa - Gavis Brand

Has anyone had any experience with the Gavis brand of the rowasa enemas?

It feels as though it is cutting me as I insert it.

Could this cause me to bleed?

Hi, I have used both Rowasa brand and Gavis brand...while I do think the Rowasa bottles were a little softer, I haven't had trouble with the Gavis. Do you use some lube? KY jelly or something? It does seem like the Gavis gets more complaints overall. There are other generic brands...maybe you could see if your pharmacy could get one of them?

I always get peri go. Never seen Gavin's but I know the cortifoam applicator has hurt me many times

I get generic rowasa labeled "meslamine rectal suspension kit" white bottles with blue caps. The bottles and tips are pretty soft, and are pre-lubricated. When I was flaring and pretty irritated, I'd add a little extra Vaseline to the tip, and it helps.
