First of all, Happy Festivus for those that celebrate! What can I say, my 6-yr old gave the wife and I an early Christmas present this year and that was type A flu. What's funny is that my wife got the flu shot but I didn't and we both ended up with the same thing. Seems the CDC missed out on this particular strand this year. Oh well, we've been miserable and have zero energy to do anything. We're even considering moving the dinner we host every year to Saturday instead. The joy is hard to be found around our household except for the kids and at the end of the day, isn't that what it's all about?

I am on day 6. Kids are also the culprit. Wife has went unscathed. Me not so much. Probably would have not got it if not on the imuran. Day 1 uncontrollable chills, fever, vomiting, diarrhea, massive headache and every joint on my body was miserable. No sleep. Day 2, pretty much same + chest congestion and constant cough. Day 3 add sinus and still no sleep. Day 4 woke up with eyes matted shut + ears hurting. Day 5 little better and ate for first time. Day 6 with so much aggressive coughing I feel like someone has punched me in the ribs and the pain is pretty much unbearable with every cough. Have strained an intercostal muscle on right which is not good with a constant cough.

Flu is the worst, especially at the holidays. Don't try to push yourself too much 'cause it'll just make you feel worse.

I don't have the flu, but I got hit with a nasty respiratory virus that's now on day 7. Luckily no fever but coughing a ton and boy am I tired!

I got hit with something, not sure what it was and it lasted 5 days. Soooo incredibly weak and tired, lost my voice, coughing up yellow crud, chills like crazy and low grade fever. I got the flu shot too and I had a feeling I had a minor flu bug. Whatever it was, I agree the CDC messed up - they even admitted it to the news. Everyone around me is sick as well or have been sick. I just over this when my hubby got hit with bronchitis ugh!

But I hope you're feeling better now and you can enjoy your Christmas.

Good call on the WOO! I had it sitting in the cabinet and never thought of using it.
