entyvio finished first 8 wk infusion and stress effects

Just a update. Completed first series of my 8 wk infusion 2wks ago.... The last 3 days before the infusion not too great but was also on prednisone taper. Started the taper on Dec 17, 1st 8 wk infusion of entyvio on 12/29/2014... Finally this last week got past the tenesmus...and gas that started on the taper. Was at prednisone 15mg per day.... now at 10mg (3years of prendisone treatment). Had a great week until today and had 2 accidents. The last one in the car, driving with crapty pants for 50 miles and no place to change. Today was stressful at work (60 hr wk)and home.
Husband has a kidney stone that will not move. We have been to ER once this week and saw specialist today for lithotripsy next week.
Mother was told terminal cancer. ( I take care of her)
My grandbaby is leaving for 6 months to (Army) Germany on Monday....found out today. Just joined in Sept instead of finishing college.
I think stress plays a big part of UC flares... just ask my pants. My husband always says there is someone worse off.... I am holding on to this today. "This too will pass". Thanks for letting me vent....I can not do it here... there is enough going on.

Awe, Monkey, poor you. You do have a full plate. With three years of Pred I am happy you can still function! Let's hope the Entyvio kicks in soon and you get past the Pred. Sounds like they might want to add a little something to your mix to give you a bridge while your adrenal glands learn to work again. Your body makes about 10 per day, so when you get under 10 mgs, take taper slowly. It can be rough. Hugs,K

Thanks for the support it really help.. You are right about the taper... it is hard.... but UC is hard for all of us.
Had accident at work again today.... but not as bad and this afternoon is better. I glad I work with a lot of supportive people. They know to move when I am headed to the potty
