Don't forget the possibility that you may do better taking it several times per day instead of all at once. In the past I also switched from multiday Asacol to Lialda once per day and got worse. I then started taking the Lialda (which is typically taken once per day) several times per day instead of all at once and got better. It's really a question of what your system likes better, larger doses of the med all once per day or smaller doses of the med several times per day. Just because you take it all at once doesn't mean it works all day, it just means you are hitting your inflammation with more meds all at once. Your system might very well rather have the med to stop inflammation every few hours instead of waiting another 24 until the next dosage. I have always believed in, if it ain't broke, don't fix it. I believe you violated that rule by trying to fix something that wasn't broken. If I were you I would switch back.
