The "preferred" status of Lialda changed with you plan. The end result is that your cost went up. But is it incorrect to speak of the manufacturer raising the price, or to refer to their R&D recoup. This was a plan change.
Yes, it became very clear after the first people chimed in that it was a price increase for me but not for everyone. Although we do not know if the manufacturer raised prices or the insurance company is paying more or a combination of both.
While you maybe paying the same that does not mean that your insurance company is not covering the increase. Of course the opposite is true. It does not mean that there has not been a change in what my insurance company is covering for the drug resulting in my increase.
I miss the good old days of PPOs. Things were much easier and more straightforward then.
