If you start it can you stop it without ramifications. My new shrink wants to know

If it works & you stop it you will probably flare again. If it doesn't work or you have problems with it and you have to stop taking it if it's like azathioprine, there aren't any side effects from stopping it. When I had problems with aza, I just stopped as soon as the dr called. There's no taper or anything.

The reason is that she wonders if i start it and the new GI has different ideas can i stop.
I jus really sacred it make me feel sicker than already do

Yes, you can start, stop, and start 6mp without issues. You cannot buildup antibodies to 6mp, like you can remicade; entirely different drugs. You do risk a uc flare up, if 6mp is keeping things under control for you. Stopping 6mp will take 2 or more weeks to clear it entirely from your body.
