I read about CRISPR a while back. This reminds me of that study that found those 20 or so AI diseases were associated with mutations in non-coding DNA rather than genes that actually coded proteins. They were talking about using that DNA editing technology to snip away those mutations and turn off overactive immunity genes.
Lots of potential for this technology and as such we have to be very careful with it. Could be very beneficial to people and could also be very destructive.
