The pattern is to start with a low dose, and then increasing to the amount that corresponds to your weight. Then based on symptoms and optimally on a blood test showing if you are getting enough of the good metabolite (i.e., in therapeutic range) to maintain, increase, or tweak with Allopurinol to get better metabolite results.
At each step some people get complete remission. So yes to your question. But the reason there are steps is because at each step some people do not. Some eventually go on to biologics, or to surgery.
