Unfortunately, there is a big difference between rat induced "colitis" vs. ulcerative colitis. In rat induced "colitis" the rats get better once the DSS chemical is removed. In people with just "colitis", they usually get better also once the offending cause is no longer present. Ulcerative colitis is a totally different disease, akin to playing either chess or poker. Yes, they are both games but completely different from one another.
