Hello everyone.
I just joined and have been reading many of the personal accounts of UC. I am super happy to be here. My husband has UC, was diagnosed in 2008 and it's been a very hard time dealing with major anxiety and symptoms.
We have an appointment with the GI on Wednesday and I was on here researching different medications and looking at people's stories with fecal transplants. My husband is currently on Mesalavant pills and enemas and has been for 6 months straight (before that it was on and off). Everything has been getting worse.
I am going to suggest a fecal transplant to the doctor - I'm not sure how that will go over but we are going to try that road with or without his help.
I noticed that many people have been posting about
fecal transplants, the microbiome and it's relation to ulcerative colitis. That is very interesting topic and I was really interested to read all of the personal stories. Thank you to everyone for posting so much valuable information. It is very helpful.
Another article people might be interested in is this one which was published this month:
Dietary emulsifiers impact on microbiota and colitis:

Nice to meet you!
