Muscles relaxant med and UC

I'm in symptomatic remission and my last flex scope showed only very light inflammation.

So happy about that but it seems I cannot be free of medical problems. :( I have been having very severe headaches for the last passed week. It is comes from my neck and shoulder. I take muscles relaxant "Flexiryl" it really helps but I'm afraid it could make my flare come back, therefore I only take these when I can not deal with the pain.

Is there anyone here that takes Flexiryl and could confirm to me that they are safe ? I would fell so much safer if someone with UC tells me they are safe.

i have not used flexiryl but i have used gabapentin for migraines and neuralgia parathesia. it didn't affect my UC at all. just made me very tired.

i completely understand though. my migraines have been debilitating. i had a constant one for months- woke up with it and went to bed with it (if i could ever sleep anyway). it has been better since i am not anemic anymore.

I've been on many muscles relaxers over the years - Flexeril, Skelaxin etc. they have had no issue on my UC whatsoever. I used mine for 2 bulging discs in my neck that caused muscle pain/spasms and nerve issues (in which I also used Neurotin).

i wouldn't be surprised if you even said muscle relaxants helped your UC spasms.

I'm wondering if muscle relaxants would help UC spasms. I'm going to ask my doctor.

It's been a while since I've been on muscle relaxers but from what I can remember, they didn't help aid in intestinal spasms.
