i have been symptom free for one year yay:) I've been living a normal life, started working out again, even started eating salad again with no issues. Starting to think less about
UC but its really hard to get it out of my brain!! Hopefully everyone will get into remission :)

That's great. Have you had a colonoscopy recently? I saw you were diagnosed in 2007. My prior doc said I need my 2nd colonoscopy 7 years after diagnosis. But yesterday I went to my new GI doc and she said she would like to see me have one next year. (about
2 years earlier). Just curious what others do.
you are still on remicade?

@Loil i get colonoscopies every 2 years. My UC has been pretty active ever since i had my daugther in 2012. i am due for a colonoscopy this year. my next GI appointment is in november so i will have one probably around then. I am still doing my remi infusions every 8 weeks. sadly that itself doesnt keep me in remission. i tried stopping imuran last year but started flaring again. so it is the mix of remi and imuran that keeps me symptom free.

I've been in symptomatic remission for 4 years and endoscopic remission confirmed last month. My GI still wants to check things out every two years.
