Hello friends!
I am very new to the forum (legit JUST joined), but I have been battling with UC for a little over a year now.
My GI is great, she does listen to me, but like most GIs, all she wants to do is push medicine. My last visit with her (currently in a 3 month flare, that I'm hoping is beginning to turn around), I inquired about a probiotic recommendation. She essentially dismissed it and said it wouldn't help me, and that probiotics are really only for people that have had surgery. After reading over several posts from people, I can tell that probiotics have helped A LOT of people! So I'm kind of confused my my doctor just dissed it so quickly.
Can anyone recommend a probiotic that reaches far down enough? My diagnosis was proctosigmoiditis. I've been eating a lot of yogurt (which thankfully I can tolerate very well), but I feel like it doesn't make it all the way down there LOL
