Yeah crazy eh, me eating breakfast regularly is quite a new experience for me lol!
They are tiny little flakes that look just like cream of wheat and with the same consistency after cooking as well. It's called Arrowhead Mills, Rice and Shine (gluten free) lol, funny pun eh! and it's made with organic brown rice....for one serving it's only 3/4 cup of water and 1/4 cup of Rice and Shine, cooks in 3 minutes on the stove (can be microwaved too) so it's definitely quick and easy...could add fruit to it too but I wouldn't with having to add the hemp and chia, that's more than enough filling.
Dietitian specified that the biggest meal of our day should be breakfast and never supper and it really makes sense...
the only reason supper was my biggest meal of the day was because I pretty much went most of the day without eating much of anything and certainly never ate so early in the mornings like I have been. Having supper as your lightest meal of the day is best for anyone's digestive tract because of the time of day being much later. It probably might help with getting a better night's sleep too but I'll test that out in a week or so before I quit smoking MJ before bed all together and if this dietitian can straighten me out then I shouldn't ever have to smoke it anymore which would be fine by me.
Since she has CD herself she's also designing my diet so it's mainly anti-inflammatory for any future crohn's flares, she said that my diet won't guarantee that I'll never flare again but that at least when I do my body/bowels should handle future flares better and possibly not get so severe and intrusive in my daily life as it mostly has throughout the many years.
Time will tell.
