Where I had my fistula surgery ...

Where I had my surgery is a small tear or opening spot draining pus...again why? When I went to mayo clinic I definitely had a tear u cud clearly see it from the outside. I was put on steroids healed up perfectly, off steroids tear again. I have to bend over and do a spread of the butt cheeks to see inside the hole, nice description huh ? It's not draining blood, but my underwear gets a little pus on them and if I don't wear a pad my under sticks to my hole. I'm waiting for entyvio to kick in but since I'm going on vacation I'm going to do steroids for a week, what's the taper on doing 40 mg of pred for week . just 4 weeks ago my colon dude scoped me and said it was healed and I know it was cuz his his scope didn't bother me now it's red , swollen a, a little warm , hurts to sit , at that site where my surgery was and where my buttonhole starts just inside of that, Man really? Any thoughts or suggestions? Trust me I'm not constipated I go too much and the pressure sometimes I get and always have and I don't push , my butt spasms.thanks for listening to this gross stuff☺️

At mayo they saw what I had like this and put me on pred no antibiotics. Hmmm so confusing

I would definetely call the doctor because it does sound like it could be infected. In the meantime, maybe you could try some sitz baths to relieve the pain.

I know that when I had fistula it would drain small amounts of greenish goo all the time, but I don't think it was infected exactly - so some goop might be okay, but steady amount with pain and swelling is not a good sign. My opened fistula track still gets sore and red sometimes from having D, but that doesn't quite sound like what you are experiencing either.
