Colonoscopy Results

Want to thank everyone for all your help over the last few months and advice. Just a quick recap, had been diagnossed with Ulcerative Proctitis 5 years ago (and UC when the pathology came back) been on lialda pretty much ever since (Various dosages) three GI later and recently had my third colonoscopy after a flare (that was pretty bad for me but as I've learned on here, somewhat mild) Started seeing blood around Christmas - was having terrible cramps and then blood everytime I went to the bathroom...

Back in Jan increased Llialda to 4 pills a day added Canasa a few weeks later (around Feb 1) by March 1, didn't see blood. Still had cramps though. Had a colonoscopy about 3 weeks ago and just got a phone call from the nurse yesterday who said the biopsies showed no active IBS/UC

Obviously I'm extremely grateful - but also a bit confused. Didn't think it would disappear that completely. Right now I suppose I will be on 4 lialda for life?

Anyway, you were all so kind and helpful, just wanted to keep you in the loop.

Yeah. Don't ever stop your meds. This is not a disease where you get better, stop your meds, and if you get worse again just do what you did before. That often doesn't work. Congratulations.
