Tested positive for H. Pylori antigen and E. coli.

I did a stool test with BioHealth Labs and tested positive for H. Pylori antigen and E. coli. Anyone have experience with these types of infections or know of their possible relation to UC? I'll be talking with my doc soon to discuss the results but thought I'd check here to see what others think.

I'm not 100% sure but I think most people can test positive for H Pylori. I'm not sure that really means anything. I believe there are also several variants of E Coli, most of them harmless. If you really had an E Coli infection you would be miserable and probably fighting for your life so I'm not sure that means anything either.

Everyone has E. Coli in their intestines. And I believe the same of H. Pylori. It's pretty harmless because our bodies keep them in check but every once in a while an event can occur that tips the scales. If you're not having any symptoms then it shouldn't be an issue.

I have h. Pylori and it has been causing me stomach ulcers so I had to take a couple of anti biotics, haven't gotten tested for it since to see if it is gone or not. I think having uc can make your body's bacteria sway a bit so I am not that surprised.
For warned: the meds will make you taste this like metallic vegetable taste.
