Colonoscopy Results?

So I don't yet have an offical diagnosis but I just got finished with a colonoscopy and some of the results given in the paper to me mentioned multiple erosions in the terminal ileum and psuedomembranes along with lots of mucous and a film type coating. Have any of you experienced that as results?

She initally said it looks like an infection so I am getting to do fecal samples (yay ). I'm sure everyone is different but just wanted to k ow what those things might mean.

Those are not characteristic results of an ulcerative colitis diagnosis. Sounds like infectious colitis, so congratulations, your infection can likely be cleared up fast.

I have not been on antibiotics and have had stomach problems for about 4 years. Good to know it's not sounding like ulcerative colitis though.

When I first starting have issues I had a nonspecific infection and was put on asacol but never quite got better. The infection technically went away even though I never got better, until this past colonoscopy I suppose.

I googled "Pseudomembranous" and got results for "Pseudomembranous colitis". Pseudomembranous colitis is inflammation of the colon that occurs in some people who have taken antibiotics. Pseudomembranous colitis is sometimes called antibiotic-associated colitis or C. difficile colitis. The inflammation in pseudomembranous colitis is almost always associated with an overgrowth of the bacterium Clostridium difficile.
