low fiber and intermittent bleeding

I'm in a mild flare and I've been trying to eat low fiber. I think I have less blood but this week I been 3 or 4 days passing small stools and almost no blood and having low abdominal pain (It annoys me specially when I am sitting down, I need to loosen my belt) and I feel slightly bloated. And anyway yesterday I had a bm with quite a bit of blood.

Maybe I should eat more fiber? Would doing some exercise like running help? Is it normal to have mild low abdominal pain with proctitis?

I really suffer mentally when I see blood. I keep thinking that bleeding equals to new damage in my colon/rectum. It's frustrating, this proctitis it's like a constant battle and all my effort to get well seem really ineffective.

I'm having 4g mesalamine oral and one 4g enema daily. My GI wants to wait two months before considering other medications. I think my problem is that I lean more to the constipation side and less fiber means more constipation. Sometimes I feel like if I had a stopper in my butt. So I was thinking maybe a little aerobic exercise could help my transit.

Sounds like a flare getting worse. If it were me I'd ask for hydrocortisone enemas. You might want to consider adding resistant starch, slowly, to see if that helps you. But whatever you try, do it one thing at a time so you know what works.
