Haven't tried it, but this reminds me of the poster on here some time ago who always improved when eating steamed lobster. She speculated that it might have been due to the N-acetyl glucosamine in the shells.
I wish there was funding for some large placebo controlled studies of supplements for IBD. These tiny studies of 10-20 people always seem interesting, but far too small to be meaningful.
