Keeping a positive attitude before procedure

How do u keep an positive attitude before a procedure? I'm getting my 6th colonoscopy and it never gets easier. The prep sucks for sure but u hate the not eating part. All I can eat is sugary drinks and it's so gross by the end of the day. I always get a headache and feel dehydrated. I hate it. I absolutely hate it.

I can't figure it why the doc wants to do another one! I have symtpoms but her put my on pred until we can stage where I am with the disease before remicade. I kinda feel like it's like this.... Let's give u some crappy stuff to drink and make u feel worse so we can find out what's wrong. Even though we already know what's wrong.

I know I'm being really negative and I am dreading the next few days. Idk how to go into this with a better attitude. I need some advice :( or a swift kick in the butt!!

I've been scoped so many times I've lost count. I found that the Miralax with Gatorade prep was the easiest to stomach. The procedure itself I never minded...that was the easy part. The prep was what made me crazy. So, not sure what prep you use but that one for me was so much better than the others. Good luck!

I've got MoviPrep, or something like hat. Yea, your butt burns and stomach hurts and I just get tired of sitting in the toilet for hours at a time. What's the point...

it stinks and im not going to say it doesnt and moviprep tastes gross and i wont say it doestn
its really hard what you are going through and I hope the discomfort of this all helps you reach a good diagnosis so you can be on your road to recovery

you will be ok with the colonoscopy and prep its just really annoying to go through
sending hugs and moral support your way( and put on vaseline before you poop and wipe with refrigerated wipes the cold helps i think)

I prob don't get scoped enough. I think it's a huge money maker and most of the time unecessay, I am skeptical of doctors though!

My insurance covers the whole colonoscopy because they want to encourage people to get scoped
I guess they don't have too many 20 year olds lining up for free scopes
