Hi,
I have proctitis so constipation is a major problem and I've been experimenting with a high fiber diet ( whole wheat breads, brown rice, etc) and then a gluten free diet to see if gluten was the problem. I now have realized that the problem is starchy foods... breads, pasta, potatoes, rice flour, tapioca flour, etc and that's why the gluten free diet didn't seem to help much either. It seems like starch based foods just clog me up and then trouble starts. My question is do any of you guys follow a low starch diet... if so any idea what kind of breads / grains I can and should incorporate in my diet?
I'm aware of the SCD and Paleo diet but have been vegetarian ( although I eat eggs) my whole life and not sure if this diet will work for me.. I really can't afford to lose weight.. it's taken me a while to get to my current 105 lbs. Any tips would be appreciated!
