It's coincidental, as Aza takes multiple weeks or more inorder to build up to the new dosage concentration within your body. Aza slowly builds up to the initial dose (over 2-3 months), and it takes a while until a new dosage changes your white blood cell count in your body (it's intended purpose). Why? Aza slows the production of white blood cells over time, it doesn't kill white blood cells already in your veins. White blood cells are the immune system's attack dog, causing inflammation. With less white blood cells, your uc inflammation is decreased and uc symptoms improve.
