Have you had issues with external ear infections aka otitis externa? I ask because the tragus of my ear has intermittently been very painful. I'm due for remicade on Saturday and don't want to say anything. I know I'm supposed to disclose any potential signs of infection but the fear of a flare (I've had a lot of uc issues the last 18 months) is much greater than dealing with an ear infection.

If you think you have an ear infection then get it checked out by your primary care physician. It won't get better on it's own.

I wrote my post in the middle of the night and realize how it sounds now. Of course I would see a doctor! I just don't have time to do so before remicade and will not cancel my appt.

I honestly don't think the ear infection matters for this remicade infusion, given the context. You know about the suspected infection, are going to seek treatment for it, just not before the infusion, so no worries.

Just don't wait long on the suspected infection, as they can get worse quickly if left untreated while on biologics.
