Disease progression is common within the first 5 years.
i want to add that in one way or another it eventually spreads for all patients that are not in a deep remission, so don't give it too much of a thought and focus on regaining control.
don't get in for another stupid sig the only thing it will do is irritate the already inflamed colon, get some blood/fecal tests to confirm inflammation, take max oral pentasa dose (4gm daily) and also 4gm rectal mesalamine, depending on your test results the GI should decide if you should move onto immunomodulators or not and when.
