Well it certainly helped with some of my symptoms before starting Humira...but I developed a recto-vaginal fistula and it took a while to get in to see my GI so I started smoking (more than just twice a day due to the major pain I was in) so once he got me in Humira I was happy it helped clear all my inflammation including the fistula...but I credit both the mj and Humira for that since no other med was able to help me in the past.
Thankfully the amazing effects of mj is becoming more and more recognized and that's fantastic because the help it has brought me (not just with my CD) with sleep issues as well as anxiety, I'm very grateful for!! It helps with my IBS with cutting the frequency issues down too but I still have to work on my stress driven IBS with meditation and exercise which includes yoga as well as weights and cardio.
Thanks for posting this....the stats are a great eye
opener for all those against mj though I'm sure many will still remain skeptical unfortunately for them cuz they don't know what they're missing!!

Its a good first step, but thats all it is. Its an incredibly small group of patients, but it is a required step before moving onto bigger trials.
Im not entirely up to date with the whole MJ thing, but I from my understanding, the THC is only good for the mental half of the disease, while the CBD was more for the inflammation? Can someone verify or refute that?

Wow that is amazing. Ive been in remission and instead of smoking it, Ive been eating it. Doctor told me it needs to get right to the source. Smoking is ok but eating it is best IMO...btw, i still puff here and there as well.

I believe the US government was not approving MJ studies until very, very recently. With approval we'll see many more studies showing how useful it can be to many diseases.

Very interesting. Thanks for posting.
I have never been much of a smoker because I was alway a big runner and was afraid to damage my lungs. (silly, I know). A friend got me a vaporizer and some good weed about
a month ago. I have noticed that the day after I smoke, things are calmer. I am also able to digest food a bit better if I smoke after eating. I just don't like the feeling of not being completely lucid. It kind of makes me feel sad.
It is legal in MA but my GI did not want to give me a medical card. He said that was not enough evidence yet that it works. bla bla bla
ok stupid question - how does one eat it?

Hope you don't mind but I thought I would share this link on the Crohn's forum.

If you go to a dispensary, they sell edibles. They make me really lazy and tired...
I tried MJ and I wasn't one of the lucky ones. I guess it's like everything else, it works for some, and not for others. It would have been great if it were my magic bullet.
